A new kind of weather app. Not a dashboard full of numbers, a sky. Huecast reads the temperature, the hour, the cloud, rain, snow, fog and wind for any place on Earth, and paints them.
Colour from
the real sky
The background blends a time-of-day colour with a temperature colour. Sunrise always gets the dawn colours and sunset the evening ones, so a short winter day keeps its light in step with the sun.
How the colours workDrag either scale to mix a sky.
Colours follow the location's own sun, not your clock.
Deeper the colder it gets, with a halo under −5°.
Text turns dark on very pale skies.
Weather,
drawn live
Each kind of weather has steps, set by the measured amount: heavier rain falls faster, heavier snow has bigger flakes, thicker fog rises higher, and wind slants the rain. Only low, thick cloud hides the sun.
Every step, side by sideHundreds of particles, paused when off screen.
Particles fade in and out as the weather changes.
A still frame when your system asks for it.
24 hours
you can scrub
The bars are the next day. Each one is a tiny copy of that hour's sky, its height is the temperature, and ticks above it mark the rain. Drag across them and the whole screen moves through the day. Hold them for the week ahead.
Try it on your forecastWind and humidity, shown next to the hour.
A line under the bars marks the night.
Hold the bars for the next 7 days, each its own small timeline.
Explore
and keep
Search any city, or let the dice take you somewhere extreme right now: the coldest, hottest, wettest, snowiest, stormiest, foggiest or windiest place, or wherever it's golden hour. Pin the places you check, and save a scene to open again later.
